2008 was a great year in music, with some really memorable songs. There were a lot of breakthrough artists, like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, but also some artists coming back with new albums, such as Guns N’ Roses and New Kids on the Block.

If you can’t seem to find something entertaining to do in the next few weeks, search no longer! The Science and Outdoor Club has come to the rescue to enrich your weekends with fun, food, and friends.

January may be a chilly month, but it plays host to many influential characters of history that have warmed the hearts of many throughout the country and around the world. January birthdays include those of Paul Revere, Elvis Presley, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Benjamin Franklin, Edgar Allen Poe, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to name a few. This month we would also like to honor members of our ACC community with birthdays that fall in January. Happy Birthday to all!

Mrs. Schroeder-Sears is proud to announce that Aurora Central Catholic was accepted to compete in the Scholastic Art Awards for the first time this year. Nine students submitted artwork, and three were accepted into the exhibit. Two students won awards. Please congratulate Sarah Jarocha and Jackie Dopp for winning Honorable Mentions in the competition, and also congratulate Tori Ridge for having her work exhibited. Scholastic is a very competitive show that is very difficult to get into, so this is a great accomplishment for ACC!
