Aurora Central is an extremely diverse school community, different in ethnic background, in family life, and in location of its students. The latter, however, was ignored on February 6th, 2008, the day of a great snowstorm. The inclement weather and dangerous road conditions were predicted days before, yet the students of our school were expected to attend.

Scholastic Bowl has had one tournament since the Central Time’s last issue. It was on January 26. The team played five matches and was very competitive. The toss-up leader was Paige Gruenke with seven. The Math Student of the Month of January is Anna Scott. Fortress had a speaker named Pat from ISU come in on Wednesday, February 13th, to talk about his faith experience.
