Savor the flavor

Just thought I would give a big shout-out to all the Charger fans who have supported us so vociferously in the past few years. You have helped transform our home court into a place that opponents must dread. Our players love coming out and getting to play in front of the best crowd in the state. There are several reasons why our crowd is superior. First is their commitment to personal hygiene. Our students are so committed to cleanliness that some of them even wear their cleaning supplies around their necks. Another reason is how helpful they are to officials. If an official ever needs help on a call they are quick to offer superior and professional advice on what the call should have been. The final reason our crowds are the best is because of how accommodating they are to opposing teams. Our generosity seems to know no end. If the other team is hungry we have hot dog man in the stands to remind them that there are plenty of refreshments for sale in the cafetorium. If the other team is having a bad day and needs to be reminded of better days our students are kind enough to remind them of previous vacations the team has taken to wonderful tropical resort areas like Bloomington. When an opponent’s season has come to an end our students are even kind enough to remind them that their “season’s over.” This is all usually punctuated by our students coming on to the floor and helping escort our own players off the floor just in case we get lost. They even go so far as to provide sombreros for our star players to make sure the bright lights don’t do any damage. I could go on and on about all the wonderful things our crowd does. I hope you enjoy the games and that you remember to savor the flavor of storming the court after great wins because I imagine that memory will last much longer than some boring teacher babbling on and on about how many people died in World War I. Thanks again to all our tremendous fans who have supported us through the years and in the words of a true Cub fan, I can’t wait for next year!
