Home run for ACC

Finally, the weather has started to change into an atmosphere warm enough for one of America’s favorite pastimes-baseball. Aurora Central Catholic’s varsity baseball team is having a fantastic season. Head Coach Sean Bieterman has really incorporated his skill into the sport to bring out the best in each and every player so that the team excels.

Senior Jacob May shares his thoughts on this season, past seasons, and specifically what has been special about this year. “This is my second year playing baseball for ACC due to my knee surgery freshman year and my heart surgery last year. I play outfield. The biggest change from this year to past years is the attitude and work ethic. We still know how to have fun, but when we step on the field whether it is a game or practice, the guys are all business. I give all the credit to the coaching staff and our seniors. We have a great group. My favorite part has been winning games with my best friends. I love baseball and this season has been one awesome ride. Hopefully we can cap it off with a state tournament run!”

So far the team’s record for this year is 21 wins and 3 losses. Congratulations to the members of the varsity baseball team, and everyone who has made this year a successful one. It’s beautiful outside so everyone take some time to go watch a ball game and support our Chargers in this victorious season they are having!

There are a few capitalization issues, but overall this is nicely written. The quote might be a bit long, though. Anyway, good job!
