Calling All Runners!

The Aurora Central Catholic track and field team is one of the largest representatives to the school’s athletic abilities. Year after year, student athletes put in hard work and long hours to make this program the best it can be. It’s not easy; it never has and never will be, especially when the school is continually being pushed to new limits. But as always, the team has risen to the challenge. It takes a certain kind of person to be on this elite team. You have to have the mentality, heart, guts, and perseverance to push yourself beyond human limits. Of course it’s not all work and no play. The running team is much more than a team, they’re a family. And although outsiders may look at us running outside in the rain, sleet, snow and ice and think, “They’re nuts, who would do that for fun?” We know better. The season is just around the corner and the team is looking for new recruits. Now you may think to yourself, well I’m not a runner, but there are plenty of events out there. And who knows, you may surprise yourself! So if you’re looking to get in shape, meet new friends, and just have some fun, do not hesitate to come up and talk to Coach Kerber, Coach Villa, or anyone who is already a member of the team about coming and trying it out. And for all those already working hard for this season, keep it up Chargers!
