Someone To Know: New Kids On The Block

Tagged:

You don’t know where the class rooms are, you don’t have a clue where to sit at lunch, and you don’t recognize anyone…Sounds scary right? Well, that’s what new kids have to go through. Half way through the year groups of friends are already established, clubs and sports are already in full swing, and it can feel hard to fit in. With the influx of 11 new students here at Aurora Central this semester, the Central Times staff thought it would be nice to welcome all of them, and here’s an exclusive interview with freshman Mitch Endriukaitis and junior Brad Schultz.

Q: What school did you come from?

Brad: “Newark Community High School”

Mitch: “Geneva High School”

Q: What’s your favorite part of ACC so far?

Brad: “Lunch”

Mitch: “The people are really nice and the block scheduling is nice as well.”

Q: What’s one thing you’d like people to know about being a “new kid”?

Brad: “Probably… that I’m not weird or anything.”

Mitch:  “It’s really scary at first, but once you get some friends and get on schedule, it’s really not that bad.”

Q: Mitch, as a freshman, do you have any goals for your upcoming years here at ACC?

Mitch: “I want to be a good student, be a successful athlete, and stay out of trouble.”

So next time you see a new face in the hall, say hey and  make sure to make the new additions to our Charger family feel more at home!

New Students at ACC

Nice that you interviewed a couple students. Got some holes in the story…# of new students within timeframe. Where are they from? Where is Newark Community HS? When interviewing, when the interviewee says something like, sport they want to play-followup with what sport? Thanks! u
