Beauty and the Geek: Sneak Peak!

Who says nice guys finish last?  Not this year at Turnabout! The theme selected is Beauty and the Geek. The DJ, returning from the sock hops, is Nick Biggs. I talked to one of the junior class representatives, Alyssa Fonseca, about some of the details for this event. Here’s what she had to say:

Central Times: Do you think there will be a better turn out this year?

Alyssa Fonseca: I definitely think there will be a bigger turn out! This year’s theme is really cute and something new for ACC. Student Council is really trying to promote Turnabout this year and is trying to bring new and fun ideas to the table to get bigger turn outs!

Central Times: What inspired the theme?

Alyssa Fonseca: I found it online and thought it was kind of goofy at first, but it was cute! I talked to a few people about it before I pitched it to everyone at a meeting, and they really liked it so we decided to go with it!

Central Times: Any ideas for an outfit?

Alyssa Fonseca: Either the guy or girl can be the beauty or the geek. Likewise, both can go as geeks or they can go together as beauties. Beauties can dress up, but if you choose to be the geek, you can wear a suit with suspenders and a bow tie, or geeks can dress up like a “stereotypical nerd”.  A lot of people get hung up on themes, but you don’t have to dress accordingly. You can just go and have fun with all your friends!

Whether you choose to be the beauty or the geek, this turnabout is sure to be a ton of fun! So make sure you make an appearance and show off!  It’s being held in our ACC cafetorium from 7-10 P.M. on February 27^th, 2010.
