Grand Theft Snowmobile

Everybody knows about chop shops for cars, but what everybody does not know is the existence of chop shops for snowmobiles. That is, everybody except a man from Van Buren County’s Arlington Township in Michigan.

After noticing his snowmobile was stolen, he notified police and followed the tracks left by the thief on the stolen snowmobile. Relatives and friends followed him by car as he followed the tracks for about ten miles to a house in the township of Bangor. The Michigan State Police said to reporters that, “The tracks that they had followed led right up to a garage door.” Inside this garage was the man’s stolen snowmobile, which was already disassembled, along with three other snowmobiles and lots of snowmobile parts. The police say they have several suspects and expect to file charges. Look out, snowmobile owners!
