Zombies, Angels, and Babies... Oh My!
Legion Review
Synopsis: When God loses faith in humankind, he sends a legion of “angels” to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity’s only hope lies in an unborn baby and a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner with the former Archangel Michael.
Review: I went to see this movie with my boyfriend and while he found it interesting, but I found it rather boring. From the previews I was expecting a horror spectacular, but all I got was a taste of about 3 different loose story lines, none of which were tied up in the end. Also, the previews didn’t show a glimpse of a theological undertone, yet the entire move was based of biblical references. First, there’s an apocalypse brought on by God’s “angels” eating and slaughtering masses of people…not exactly the angels I was picturing. Second, there’s an unrequited love story, which leaves you guessing. Lastly, there is the fact that this whole mess, is supposed to be fixed by the birth of a child. Please tell me how ONE new born baby is supposed to not only redeem God’s faith in man, but protect you from zombie “angels”. In short, I suggest if you are looking for anything remotely entertaining, search elsewhere, this was a waste of money and a Saturday afternoon.
