Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Percy isn’t your average teenager, but he has nothing to be noticed for either. He suffers from ADHD and Dyslexia, and really only has one close, disabled friend, Grover, until one day on a school field trip. Percy’s life is turned upside down when a Fury, a mythical winged goddess, posing as his substitute teacher, attacks him. In the next 24 hours, Percy is dragged across the country to a place called the Camp, his mother is kidnapped by a Minotaur, and he discovers that his best friend is a satyr, or fawn. This is only the beginning of Percy’s adventure; when he is blamed for stealing Zeus’ bolt, he, Grover, and Annabeth, daughter of Athena, set off on a quest to find it before the gods start a war that will leave the world in ruins.They face many dangers from Medusa to hell. Will they return the world to peace?  You’ll just have to go watch it and find out. This film was directed by Chris Columbus, written by Craig Titley and based off of the book by Rick Riordan. This adventurous film stars Logan Lerman as Percy, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth, Pierce Brosnan as Mr. Brunner, and Uma Thurman as Medusa. All in all, this is a thrilling new epic that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end and promises to have some great sequels.
